A leading Latin American pharmaceutical group sought access to emerging digital health and medical device technologies worldwide. However, the organization lacked the internal structure required to engage with international innovation ecosystems and effectively evaluate investment opportunities in these technological innovations.
BioNext Approach
Ricardo, through a previous initiative and later through BioNext, led and supported the companyˇs access to international innovation and investment ecosystems focused on digital health. This included identifying high-potential opportunities, supporting due diligence processes, monitoring portfolio companies through follow-on activities, and building relationships with venture capital funds and innovation ecosystems across Spain and Europe.
Outcome
The initiative enabled the creation of an international portfolio of digital health companies. It also allowed the pharmaceutical group to connect with developers, commercial partners, and strategic investors in the digital health space while gaining deeper insight into emerging industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
